Week 9 Redemption?

On November 8th 2009 the San Diego Chargers will come into the Meadowlands to face the New York Giant's. This is one of many games I have marked on my calendar. Charger fans have done nothing but rave about how they got the better end of the 2004 NFL draft day deal that sent Eli Manning to the Giants for Philip Rivers and some draft picks. Charger fans love to hate Eli since he refused to play for them and they should hate him since he has what the Chargers have never attained. That is a Super Bowl trophy. It was a great day for Charger fans back in 2005 when they stuck it to the Giants in Sand Diego and now the Giants will have a chance at redemption. Win or lose in the end the Giants have the ultimate redepmtion, a Super Bowl trophy.

Do you feel lighter today?

I wanted to ask Giants fans just how much lighter they feel today since yesterdays announcement that Antonio Pierce will not be indicted? It is really amazing how so early in the season (August 3rd), the Giants were almost eliminated from being able to contend right from the beginning to claim their second Super Bowl in three seasons. Not to say Pierce is everything, but without his leadership the Giants would have been in a lot of trouble.

Giants defense once again putting in a strong performance today during practice. Notable stand outs have been Terrel Thomas and Kenny Phillips.
