Positives
- Eli Manning had a great game, throwing for 292 yards on 20-34 passing with 3 touchdowns. Can you say MVP candidate. (I will have an article on that later)
- Running game provides another strong outing with 156 yards on the ground.
- Steve Smith has separated himself as the Giants number one receiver. To be honest I knew he would step up. But for him to playing like a true number one receiver is somewhat of a surprise to me.
- Defense played great, flying to the ball and posting 5 sacks on Matt Cassel.
- Kevin Dockery was active. Slowly but surely the Giants are getting guys back.
- Hakeem Nicks made a great play to get a touchdown. He once again flashed his potential. As long as he stays on the right track he may be a great receiver in 2-3 years.
- Justin Tuck recorded 5 total tackles and a sack with an injured shoulder. Nice hard fought game for one of the walking wounded.
- Eli Manning's heel - Hopefully within the next few hours the Giants will get some positive news and he will not have to miss any games. You would hate to see him miss time since the offense has been getting in a groove as the weeks have gone on.
- Mario Manningham had some balls go his way that he should have hauled in. He definitely had an off game. Don't forget he is only in his second season. He will bounce back.
- The defense went soft in the 4th quarter and allowed the Chiefs to score two touchdowns. The game wasn't as close as the final score shows.
