Defensive Breakout Player for 2009

2008 Season Stats
- 67 Tackles
- 1 INT
- 5 PD
Kenny Phillips is my 2009 defensive breakout player. Looking at his 2008 stats below he had a good season for being a role player and not starting. I know the 1 INT came on a prayer that Rethlisberger threw up in the air to try and give the Steelers a shot to win. The main thing I look at are the 5 pass deflections which is very good.
During last seasons training camp he showed great explosion to the ball and recovery speed and the same goes so far for this season. As a starter you cant help but expect big things from him this season. Check out the link below. I expect many plays like this one.

2009 Projected Stats
- 92 tackles
- 4 INT
- 12 PD
At the end of the season we will look back and see if my prediction comes true.
