Giants Look Lost in 17-3 Defeat to Chicago
There is only one way to break down this game. And that is in three parts. The good, the bad, and the ugly. Yes I did find some good in this game but it wasn't much.
The Good
- Ahmad Bradshaw & Danny Ware combined for 88 yards on 14 carries. I don't believe many other teams can get that kind of production out of there second and third backs.
- Eli's numbers looked good 7 of 10 62 yards.
- Jacobs had another nice showing running the ball as well as catching it.
- Hakeem Nicks showed a nice ability to get behind the defense and make a 55 yard catch.
- This was only a preseason game. The games don't start counting until September 13th.
- Jay Alford's sprained MCL. Injuries are never good and lets just hope this is the worst for the Giants during this preseason. According to sources the MRI will be done today at 5pm.
- The Giants showed no ability to move the ball down the field and score with their first team offense. In the preseason it is good to at least get one good score from your offense.
- With Seubert and Snee out, Manning couldn't get enough time to move the ball down the field. In the end it resulted in five sacks for the Bears in the game.
- The defense looked lost trying to slow down Cutler and Forte as they marched up and down the field.
- The score 17-3.
