Drew Brees a Big Test For The NY Giants

Whenever there is a conversation about who the best quarterbacks in the NFL are,  Drew Brees' name always comes up.  He has been one of the most consistent and dominant quarterbacks in the NFL over the past few seasons.

Once he hit free agency in 2005 he signed with the he Saints and was able to put a city on the map that was recovering from its worst disaster ever when hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans.

When i broke down this game,  the biggest challenge I saw is going to be slowing down the Saints passing game because of how Drew Brees makes plays.  What impresses me the most about Drew Brees is that even though he is fairly short for a quarterback at barely six feet tall.  He plays as if he is the biggest player on the field by making plays for his offense to keep the ball moving down field. What makes him so dangerous is his ability to get out of the pocket and throw on the run similar to Tony Romo.

The biggest challenge for the New York Giants will be to not let him get out of the pocket and ensure he is not able to make the down field throws that he delivers so well.  Bill Sheridan and the Giants defense has their work cut out for them.  Ever since Brees has come to the Saints he has been able to shred defenses with down field passes to guys like Marques Colston, Lance Moore and Reggie Bush.  The Saints have great weapons and this will bea  big test for the Giants defense.
