NY Giants Domenik Hixon is Full of Explosivenss

Since the Giants picked up Domenik Hixon off of the waiver wire back in 2007 and had him return kicks, he has done nothing but get the offense good starting field position. Hixon has averaged 30 yards a kick return in his career. That means that Hixon will at the worst get the ball to the 30 yard line if he returns it from the goaline. With his explosiveness it seems that every time he returns the ball he has a chance at breaking one for a touchdown.
When the Giants stopped using him on kick returns last season, I really believed it was a big mistake. Ahmad Bradshaw and Danny Ware are ok at returning kicks,  but they cannot get the field position that Hixon can.

I understand the Giants had to move Hixon to one of the top two receiver spots with Plaxico Burress being suspended for the season. But now that they don't need him as a receiver as much, he can focus on returning kicks. If Hixon continues to return kicks for the rest of the seasons look for him to get at least two kick returns for touchdowns because of his ability to see and read the field.

Hixon has great vision and burst through the seems that I haven't seen from a Giants returner in a long time. His vision enables him to hit the seems and make the cuts in order to make people miss. I really believe people often underestimate what a good kick returner can do for your offense. At times it can cut the field in half and make your offense's day a lot easier,  especially against a very good opponent.

He can be rotated in at receiver to add another threat to the passing game.  He isn't a great wide receiver but he can make plays at times and adds depth to the position.

When Domenik Hixon's career ends he may wind up being one of the best kick returners in New York Giants history.
